Parcel carrier TNT has ordered 192 trailers from Cartwright with aerodynamic modifications to resolve recurring damage issues from previous aerodynamic designs.
“Working together with Cartwright, we have come up with an evolution of a design which we hope will go a long way to eradicating the problem,” said Steve Davis, National Engineering Manager of TNT UK.
According to Cartwright, the new side skirts are built with a modular design to allow speedy repairs, resulting in minimal vehicle downtime. The trailers are also fitted with aerodynamic aerofoil and the Cheetah Fastback sloping roof, which boast increased fuel savings.
“TNT is a long-established and valued customer of Cartwright and it is a mark of our relationship that we work closely together to convert problems into solutions,” said Mark Cartwright, Group Managing Director of Cartwright.
