The summer-autumn period has been an exciting time of growth and new developments for the Wielton Group as it premiered a host of its catalogue of trailer bodies, tailor-made for differing industry uses.
It was a primary exhibitor at Poland’s largest forestry industry trade fair – EKO LAS, where visitors could see up close and personal a Langendorf Woodliner stake semi-trailer and timber transport trailer, as well as a Wielton Moving Floor Master semi-trailer.
EKO-LAS is a renowned industry event that regularly attracts over a hundred exhibitors and thousands of visitors representing a wide spectrum of the forestry and wood industry.
The fair has evolved into a renowned industry event due to its outdoor format, with the exhibition spread over 20 hectares of open space, rather than traditional, indoor exhibition halls.
“This year’s EKO-LAS fair was a special event for us for several reasons. For the first time, as the Wielton Group, we presented our offer for the forestry sector to a wide audience,” said Langendorf GmbH Management Board President, Julia Herholz-Siems.
“We premiered Langendorf stake vehicles and a universal Wielton semi-trailer with a moving floor system – ideal for transporting a variety of loads.
“Our products are distinguished by their high durability and the possibility of adapting the equipment to individual needs.”
The Woodliner stake semi-trailer, made of high-quality S700 steel and coated with an anti-corrosion coating applied using the cataphoresis process, has a durable construction that guarantees a long service life, ensures high load capacity and resistance to difficult working conditions.
The chassis’ curb weight is 4,850 kg, while the administrative load capacity of the presented model is 28,500 kg.

In addition, automatic TU tensioners increase safety and guarantee transport stability, and the shape of the front wall allows for efficient unloading.
The standard equipment includes sliding beams, ExTe stanchions with aluminium telescopic rods, a grooved floor, and a functional ladder at the rear of the vehicle.
In addition, the manufacturer offers a wide range of body configuration options, including an optional third steering axle.
Equipped with pneumatic suspension systems protected by steel cables minimises shocks, increases stability, and improves driving comfort on uneven surfaces for the Woodliner.
In addition, a platform made of grooved, galvanised sheet metal on the drawbar allows the driver to safely access the trailer, while the design allows for flexible adjustment and securing of loads, which is crucial for transporting long and heavy materials.
Coupled with these features, the Woodliner’s low centre of gravity has a positive effect on the stability of the vehicle during transport.
The trailer is available in 2- and 3-axle versions, as well as in several platform length variants ranging from 6,200 mm to 7,200 mm, and with single or twin tyres.
The Wielton Moving Floor Master is a versatile vehicle with a moving floor that enables automatic, horizontal loading and unloading of cargo.
Made with a residual frame, made of S700MC steel from SSAB, and a sliding front wall it is designed for transporting general cargo, from parcels and palletised goods to bulk materials.
Thanks to the Cargo Floor system of this Wielton trailer, which consists of sets of floor slats that move alternately or simultaneously, the cargo can be easily moved in the desired direction.
The internal length of the usable floor is 13.4 m, while the internal height is 2.720 m and with a low tare weight of 7,200 kg and a capacity of 92 m³, the semi-trailer can transport 33 Euro pallets at a time.
Depending on individual preferences, customers can choose between braking systems or axles from renowned manufacturers, as well as 21 or 24 aluminium floor profiles with a thickness of 6, 8, or 10 mm.
In addition, this model can be equipped with both right and left side doors, each 6,200 mm wide.
New defence sector solutions
The 33rd edition of the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce, Poland saw the premiere of Wielton Defence’s LB-7 seven axle low-loader, semi-trailer – the latest specialised design in the Wielton Defence range.
This massive trailer has been specifically designed for the transport of heavy military and engineering equipment.
Wielton saw its participation at this premiere defence exhibition as not only to showcase a new product, but also as a large step in strengthening its footprint in the defence sector.
“The first few months of Wielton Defence’s operation have shown that the decision to enter the defence sector was the right one,” said Wielton Group, CEO, Paweł Szataniak. “Our hard work has resulted in obtaining a licence from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration to manufacture and trade in products and technology for military or police use, as well as cooperation with OBRUM and Jelcz.
“The partnerships and contracts we have established are, above all, proof that our strategy is bringing real results and strengthening the company’s position in this strategic area.”
The LB-7’s dimensions and parameters have been adapted to the requirements of dual-use transport, and the whole vehicle has been designed for operation in demanding off-road conditions.
Accordingly, the semi-trailer is seen as a multi-purpose heavy-duty specialist – dedicated to the transport of heavy construction, mining, and engineering machinery, tracked vehicles weighing over 80 tonnes, and sea containers (2×10‘, 2×15’, 1×20‘ or 1×30’).
It is equipped with hydraulic suspension for transport in difficult terrain and five hydraulically steerable rear axles for high manoeuvrability.
The adjustable neck height of 1,350–1,600 mm provides operational flexibility, and with a kerb weight of approximately 24 tonnes, the semi-trailer has an administrative gross vehicle weight rating of 85 tonnes, which can technically go up to 109 tonnes.
The total length of the LB-7 is 15.4 m, of which 12 m is the loading platform and the loading deck is made of non-slip sheet metal, with the structure being made of high-strength steel covered with an anti-corrosion coating.
As a result, the LB-7 enables the safe transport of both wheeled and tracked vehicles, while maintaining full resistance to operating conditions and interoperability with NATO logistics.
In addition, it is fitted with an Aberg telematics system that is responsible for real-time monitoring of vehicle operating parameters, including the braking system, pressure, and temperature in the wheels.
In combination with the dedicated Aberg Telematics Portal platform, this solution provides a constant overview of the semi-trailer’s current technical condition, while also providing alerts of any changes or issues.
