Towing hitch technology specialist, ROCKINGER, which has been part of the JOST portfolio since 2001, was founded in 1875.

ROCKINGER was founded in 1875 by Johann Rockinger in Munich. Since then, the brand has had a decisive influence on the technical development of towing hitches.

In 1927 the invention of the ‘safety coupling for truck convoys’, the first fully automatic ROCKINGER towing hitch, changed the standard of reliability and safety of towing hitches.

In 2023 JOST acquired LH Lift, an established supplier and manufacturer of three-point linkages and couplings for agricultural tractors. The Finnish company’s product range complements ROCKINGER Agriculture’s portfolio.

One of the company’s latest innovations, the ROCKINGER Drawbar Finder, exemplifies its commitment to efficiency and safety.

“Here, a camera sits in a central and protected position above the towing hitch, functioning as an extra set of eyes and preventing misalignment of the drawbar eye,” said JOST. “By providing both horizontal and vertical guidance, it enables precise coupling, which in turn raises efficiency and helps prevent accidents. The driver no longer needs to get out of the truck to check that the drawbar eye is aligned correctly.”
