A new project led by Rhenus Logistics prioritises import and export activities between the US, Mexico and Canada.
Relying on Rhenus’ northbound and southbound trucking option, ‘Rhenus Beyond Borders’ utilises the provider’s full truckload and lighter-than truckload services to travel anywhere within the region.
These delivery capabilities also reportedly include custom clearance and documentation support to help customers optimise their supply chains in response to frequently changing market needs.
Also, ‘Rhenus Beyond Borders’ provides warehousing services through strategically located facilities across the region’s country borders, with additional warehouses in Dallas, Texas and Miami, Florida, designated as foreign trade zones. These two cities are logistical hotspots for distribution in both North and Latin America, offering cross-docking and storage solutions to optimise cargo flow across borders.
This expansion from ‘Rhenus Beyond Borders’ has strengthened the company’s ability to manage complex supply chain requirements with more flexibility and efficiency across key trade corridors, according to Director of Cross-Border Transportation of Rhenus Logistics Air & Ocean USA, Alfonso Ortiz.
“In today’s market, you have to adapt and be flexible in order for your goods to reach the market quickly and be successful,” he said.
“Having a logistics provider as a partner and business advisor helps mitigate these global disruptions and support your company to stay competitive. With our combined team of experts, we can ensure that businesses navigate cross-border services with confidence and ease, even amid market uncertainties.”
To meet urgent shipments, Rhenus offers expedited trucking services, onboard courier and air cargo charter options, ensuring deliveries are handled diligently.
Rhenus also enhances cross-border coordination through a staff of bilingual and bicultural customer support employees, to simplify and ensure compliance with import and export regulations.
By integrating intermodal rail and road services, Rhenus is aiming to provide a cost-effective and reliable solution for moving goods across the North and Latin American regional borders from pre-carriage and on-carriage by road to transshipment and warehousing, ensuring businesses’ unique needs are met.
