Brazil-based OEM, Randoncorp, ended 2024 on a positive note, attaining the highest consolidated net revenue in its 76-year history.
The company’s revenue reached $11.9 billion BRL (€1.93 billion), an increase of 9.4 per cent compared to 2023. Its adjusted EBITDA reached $1.6 billion BRL (€260 million), an increase of 6.0 per cent compared to the previous year, with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 14 per cent.
The year brought together relevant achievements across various enterprises of the company, mainly due to the expansion of business abroad and in segments, such as OEM and replacement parts.
Frasle Mobility, which is part of Randoncorp’s Movement Control vertical, recorded a new record for consolidated net revenue of $4 billion BRL (€648 million), which is 17 per cent higher than the previous year. The figures recorded in 2024 do not yet include the figures for Dacomsa in Mexico.
The company reported that 2025 will see a number of projects being further developed, particularly in the Auto Parts vertical, including the acquisition of AXN Heavy Duty in the US and the construction and start of operations of the Castertech and Suspensys factories in Mogi Guaçu, in the Southeast of Brazil.
The year saw Randoncorp’s Auto Parts vertical undergo a strong recovery, primarily due to the resumption of truck production in the country, reaching net revenue of $3.9 billion BRL (€633 million), an increase of 18.6 per cent compared to 2023.
Q4 of 2024 saw the company reach $3.3 billion BRL (€536 million) in consolidated net revenue, an increase of 27.5 per cent compared to the same period in 2023, and a 4.0 per cent increase compared to Q3 of 2024.
In addition to the achievements in the OEM and replacement parts markets, the primary reason for this progress was the increase in sales to the foreign market, with the resumption of deliveries of semi-trailers in the US and the addition of the numbers from EBS, a UK company acquired by the subsidiary Master Freios.
Another highlight of the period was Randoncorp’s participation in Fenatran, the largest road transport fair in Latin America, which reinforced the company’s relationship and leadership position in its different segments.
Randoncorp also demonstrated its capacity as a global developer of disruptive technologies for sustainable mobility with the presentation of several innovative solutions, such as AT4T – Autonomous Technology for Transportation.
Randoncorp Chief Financial Officer, Paulo Prignolato, said of the company’s 2024 results: “We closed a year full of strategic moves, fundamental for the sustainability of our business. The focus now is on the integration of new companies and the search for synergies, to increase our profitability.”
Randoncorp’s corporate governance for 2025 will see Sérgio Carvalho step down from his roles Randoncorp CEO, and as President and CEO of Frasle Mobility, effective from 1 September 2025. This move, already planned as part of the governance process, reflects his desire to return to the US where his family lives.
Randoncorp President, Daniel Randon, who previously held the position of President and CEO of the company from 2019 to 2021, will take on the position of CEO.
Carvalho took over as Randoncorp CEO in 2022, where his focus was on the company’s internationalisation, accelerated growth and strengthening of the Executive Committee. During Carvalho’s time the company’s revenue, EBITDA and net income, increased four to nine times, as well as its acquisition of 23 new companies.
Randoncorp is currently present with its products in more than 125 countries, has 33 industrial operations and 20 distribution centres in 10 countries.
Carvalho will take on the role of Senior Executive Advisor for Randoncorp where he will contribute to the company’s strategic planning as an independent external consultant. He will remain a member of the boards of directors of the joint ventures, Master Freios and JOST Brasil.
Carvalho reflected on Randoncorp’s successes during his tenure.
“In recent years, we have been able to significantly accelerate the company’s transformation, with a new and more resilient business structure, advanced technologies and an increased international presence,” he said.
“In my new role, we want to further strengthen these movements, especially in North America and other strategic markets. I am very grateful for the years I spent as CEO of Randoncorp and I am pleased with the results we have delivered.”
Randoncorp President Daniel Randon said: “We are confident about this move and that it will be another important step in our sustainable growth strategy, with a focus on the foreign market.”
In other other, EnTrans International has been acquired.
