German logistics provider, MJ Transport, has strengthened its fleet with the addition of 50 new Schmitz Cargobull curtainsiders.
Based in Dortmund, the family-owned transport company has taken delivery of 50 S.CS curtainsiders as part of a broader fleet modernisation program aimed at improving operational flexibility, efficiency and predictability.
MJ Transport Managing Director, Maximilian Jos Sadowski, said the new trailers are an important step in supporting continued growth.
“To further increase the efficiency of internal processes, we have decided on a comprehensive modernisation of our vehicle fleet,” he said.
“Our fleet includes various semi-trailers for different areas of application, including several S.KO COOL semi-trailers with Schmitz Cargobull S.CU refrigeration units and S.BO dry freight trailers.”
Founded by Thomas Sadowski and his wife, Silke, MJ Transport has grown from a one-truck operation into an established logistics provider in Germany’s Ruhr region. The business has expanded steadily through organic growth and strategic acquisitions, with Maximilian Jos Sadowski now leading the next generation of the family enterprise.
The latest investment sees the company replace a large portion of its older trailer fleet with standardised equipment designed to streamline fleet management and dispatch operations.
According to MJ Transport, the decision to adopt a more uniform trailer specification will improve operational flexibility while simplifying day-to-day scheduling across its transport network.
The new curtainsiders feature bodies certified to EN 12642 XL standards and carry beverage transport certification, allowing them to service a broad range of freight applications. MJ Transport also cited the ability to integrate the trailers into a major customer’s telematics platform as a key factor in selecting Schmitz Cargobull.
Beyond the equipment itself, the project included financing through Cargobull Finance and coordinated vehicle branding carried out in collaboration with Schmitz Cargobull’s Altenberge production facility.
