Poland-based manufacturer, Lumag, is strengthening its position as a European friction materials specialist as it expands cooperation with key international distribution partners and builds its presence in strategic global markets.
With more than 35 years of experience producing brake pads for trucks, buses and trailers, Lumag has recently extended its network to Morocco, Algeria and Georgia. The company said this reflects rising worldwide demand for premium European friction materials and its focus on supply stability and consistent OE level quality.
Lumag’s products are now available through distributors across Europe and in a growing number of overseas markets.
In December Lumag will exhibit at Automechanika Dubai 2025. The show is recognised as the largest aftermarket trade fair in the Middle East and Africa region and attracts global manufacturers and industry leaders.

The event will run from 9-11 December at the Dubai World Trade Centre where Lumag will showcase its commercial vehicle product portfolio and its testing technologies at stand E22 in hall 4.
Market conditions remain difficult for operators and distributors as rising costs, margin pressures and the need to shorten supply chains continue to influence decision making. Lumag said its production base in Poland allows it to offer short and stable supply chains while meeting the strict safety and quality standards required in the European Union.
The company continues to invest in its friction technologies, manufacturing processes and research infrastructure. Every reference undergoes full laboratory and road testing. Its facilities include Horiba and Tecsa test stands that measure friction, wear, acoustic and vibration parameters in line with OE procedures.
All products meet ECE R90 requirements and benefit from Lumag’s Green Coat technology that supports effective braking performance during initial bedding in.

“As a European manufacturer since 1988, we focus on long term partnerships, supply stability and continuous technological development,” said Lumag Member of the Management Board, Łukasz Żak.
“Our goal is to provide distributors with OE level quality and predictability which are essential for the efficient functioning of today’s transport market.”
Lumag R&D Manager, Tomasz Orłowski added: “We combine laboratory testing on Horiba and Tecsa stands with extensive road trials which ensures consistent parameters and smooth operation of the braking system. Each production batch is verified according to OE manufacturer procedures.”
Lumag also continues to develop complementary product lines.
Its Breck brand offers brake pads and discs for passenger cars, SUVs and electric vehicles. These products are developed using the company’s R&D facilities and meet ECE R90 requirements.
Lumag’s IPS Individual Production Service provides mass production of shims, piston clips and back plates tailored to customer specifications. The company said IPS was developed to meet demand for industrial customisation where components are produced at scale but designed for specific manufacturer needs. The automated production line delivers high precision and repeatability which is essential in automotive supply.
