In today’s commercial vehicle industry, sustainability and regulatory compliance are no longer optional – they are essential.
In response to the latest EU VOC emission requirements, Brianza Plastica, a leading Italian manufacturer of fiberglass-reinforced plastic (GRP) laminates, has again demonstrated its commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility with the launch of its new LoVOC laminate range.
This range of products is designed to meet the latest European directives aimed at reducing Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions.
The LoVOC laminate range is also in response to the growing customer demand for more sustainable construction materials.
The LoVOC laminates are the result of extensive research and development by Brianza Plastica and incorporate a new resin formulation that significantly reduces VOC emissions during both production and application.
This innovation supports manufacturers in creating healthier working environments and helps them meet the increasingly stringent environmental standards.
By lowering emissions at every stage – from manufacturing to final vehicle assembly – LoVOC laminates offer a tangible solution for companies seeking to align with sustainability goals without compromising on performance.
The LoVOC range is now available in the Elyplan Standard, Elyplan Extra-Glass, and Elyplan Design Style product lines, offering a ready-to-use solution that aligns with the growing demand for environmentally responsible materials.

Brianza Plastica at SOLUTRANS
Brianza Plastica participated at SOLUTRANS 2025, Europe’s premier trade show for commercial vehicle innovation, taking place from 18 to 22 November at the Lyon Eurexpo. The Brianza Plastica site was at Stand A132 in Hall 3, where Regional Sales & Product Development Manager, Davide Verde, and the Brianza Plastica team presented the company’s latest innovations and discuss customised solutions tailored to clients’ business needs.
SOLUTRANS 2025 was the perfect opportunity for Brianza Plastica to highlight the wide range of GRP laminates, including its Elycold and Elyplan products, which have gained a reputation for effective and long-lasting solutions in commercial transport.
Brianza Plastica also showcased its LoVOC laminates at SOLUTRANS.
Brianza Plastica is steadfastly committed to staying close to, and supportive of, its customers, enhancing direct contact and support worldwide. This ensures clients receive the best possible service and attention for their specific needs, coupled with premiere Italian quality and the company’s innovative approach to product design and manufacture.
GRP laminates
Over the years, GRP laminates have increasingly replaced traditional materials, such as aluminium, due mainly to their superior performance characteristics.
These GRP composites are lighter, more flexible, and highly resistant to corrosion – qualities that translate to improved fuel efficiency, increased payload capacity, and reduced maintenance costs.
Brianza Plastica’s product portfolio is divided into two main families – the Elycold and Elyplan laminates.
Elycold laminates are produced discontinuously at ambient temperature, offering excellent flatness and a seamless finish and its variants, such as Elycold Lite and Elycold Extra-Glass are designed for applications requiring low weight, high rigidity, and impact resistance. These products are particularly suitable for constructing sidewalls and interiors of temperature-controlled vehicles, where both aesthetics and mechanical performance are critical.
Elyplan laminates, on the other hand, are manufactured through a continuous lamination process and are available in rolls or sheets, with or without gelcoat.
Known for its dimensional accuracy and competitive pricing, Elyplan Extra-Glass combines lightness with tensile strength up to 230 MPa, making it ideal for vehicles requiring both durability and weight savings.
The use of high-quality raw materials and advanced gelcoats also ensure long-term resistance to yellowing, water vapor, and condensation.
In response to increasing safety requirements, Brianza Plastica has also developed Elyplan FP400, a flame-retardant GRP laminate that meets class B-s1-d0 fire performance standards. With a thickness of just 0.8 mm, FP400 offers exceptional fire resistance in a lightweight format, making it particularly suitable for interior applications where space and safety are critical.
This product represents the culmination of decades of experience and continuous investment in research and development, positioning Brianza Plastica at the forefront of fire-safe composite materials.
With the introduction of LoVOC laminates and its active participation in SOLUTRANS 2025, Brianza Plastica reaffirms its role as a forward-thinking partner for the commercial vehicle industry.
By combining technical excellence, environmental responsibility, and customer-focused service, the company continues to deliver solutions that meet the challenges of modern vehicle construction – today and into the future.
