Spain-based trailer builder, Lecitrailer, has received the ‘Third Millennium Special Award for Companies with an Innovative DNA’.
The award was presented during a ceremony at Espacio Fersa in Zaragoza, Spain, where Lecitrailer Operations Director, Carlos Martín, accepted the recognition on behalf of the company.
The Third Millennium Awards, promoted by Heraldo de Aragón, recognise organisations, researchers and professionals contributing to research, development, innovation, science and technology across the Aragon region.
According to the jury, Lecitrailer’s recognition reflects its long-term commitment to innovation and the development of advanced transport solutions tailored to the needs of the road freight industry.
The company’s in-house technology centre in Zaragoza was highlighted as a key asset for testing and developing new transport technologies and trailer concepts.
Other projects acknowledged by the jury included Lecitrailer’s KTL cataphoresis process, the axle project developed alongside Carreras and Thermo King, the development of Euro-modular combinations with the University of Zaragoza and SESE, and the Box2 Lift Mobile Box with C45 certification for intermodal applications.
Integrated telemetry systems developed with technology partners and the company’s Lecitrailer Defence division were also recognised as examples of the manufacturer’s innovation capabilities.
Lecitrailer said its approach to innovation is driven by practical solutions, market knowledge and close collaboration with customers.
A major differentiator for the business is its made-to-order production model, which enables trailers to be customised to specific customer requirements across a broad range of freight applications.
The award comes as Lecitrailer continues to strengthen its international footprint, with more than 55 per cent of its production exported to European markets.
Lecitrailer said the recognition reinforces its commitment to delivering efficient, sustainable and connected transport solutions while maintaining a long-term industrial strategy focused on innovation and customer needs.
In other news, Brazil-based OEM, Randon, has completed its first export of semi-trailers to Indonesia.
