Lecitrailer has been recognised for the 7th time as the manufacturer of the best semi-trailer of the year, for its Evolution Air Cargo product.
In doing so it has achieved an historic milestone, its six consecutive awards at the 2026 National Transport Awards – Fifth Wheel.
Endorsement of transport professionals
The award, awarded by a jury of 165 transport professionals, consolidates Lecitrailer’s position as a leading brand in the design and manufacture of semi-trailers for professional transport.
Achieving six consecutive awards is no accident, the OEM said. Since the first edition of these awards in 2018, Lecitrailer has demonstrated constant product evolution, adapting to an increasingly demanding sector in terms of efficiency, sustainability, structural robustness, and operational versatility.
Evolution Air Cargo
Evolution Air Cargo refrigerated semi-trailers stand out for their versatile design, engineered for transporting conventional palletized cargo and large-format overhead pallets, integrating technical solutions that optimize handling, safety, and operational efficiency.
These units are approved for transporting deep-frozen goods in accordance with ATP FRC class regulations (-20°C) and are Pharma certified, guaranteeing homogeneous temperature distribution thanks to their air diffuser system with double-layered tarpaulin and aluminium nozzle.
The vehicle’s design incorporates a recessed neck and 19.5-inch wheels, maximizing payload capacity. The interior width of 2,464 mm, achieved with 65 mm panels, facilitates the transport of pallets up to 2,400 mm wide. Furthermore, the sloping roof optimizes load distribution, accommodating overhead pallets of varying heights.
The equipment is completed with embedded lashing rails, roller systems to facilitate the movement of air cargo, centralized manoeuvring control and specific preparation for maritime transport, which provides total versatility in multimodal operations.
