Bison Transport President and CEO, Rob Penner has announced he is retiring from his long-held position.
Penner started his career with the Canadian company in 1989 as a driver, moving his way into the office and eventually to the top of the executive ranks.
“Rob helped navigate Bison Transport through periods of unparalleled change and growth, finishing his career with the successful transition of ownership from the Jessiman family to the Richardson family” said Bison Transport Executive Chairman, Don Streuber.
Mike Ludwick has been announced as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer. He has been with the business since 1997 and was most recently Chief Administrative Officer. He is also the current President at Bison Transport USA.
“Mike is the right leader, at the right time for Bison Transport,” Streuber said. “Mike and I have worked closely for his entire career and with his industry experience and superb leadership skills, I am confident in a smooth transition and continued success for Bison.”
