Global supply chain and logistics provider, Kuehne+Nagel, will expand its collaboration with multinational consumer packaged goods company Unilever by exploring new strategies.
To celebrate 31 years of collaborations, the companies recently signed a Partnership Growth Charter to outline their joint strategic goals and intentions.
The agreement aims to drive mutual growth, operational excellence, and sustainability.
The partnership was signed by Kuehne+Nagel’s EVP Contract and Integrated Logistics Gianfranco Sgro and Unilever’s Chief Supply Chain and Operations Officer, Willem Uijen.
As part of the Charter the companies will explore AI-driven automation, space efficiency, and data-driven supply chain enhancements.
The arrangement comes after Kuehne+Nagel recently launched pallet drone deliveries in select regions, as part of its commitment to innovation and sustainability in logistics.
The drone deliveries will facilitate the rapid, autonomous transport of palletised cargo to remote and urban areas, reducing transit times and lowering carbon emissions.
The company intends to expand the pallet drone deliveries globally throughout 2025.
