To support growth in Asia, Kuehne+Nagel has opened a 2,800-square-metre container freight station in Bangkok which is strategically located near Laem Chabang Port.
The station is expected to provide Kuehne+Nagel faster and more efficient cargo consolidation and de-consolidation while the use of electric vehicle transportation for all Less-than-Container Load (LCL) pick-ups across Thailand will reduce carbon emissions.
Laem Chabang, Thailand’s largest deep-water port, is a vital gateway for international trade, particularly on the Asia-North America and Asia-Europe routes.
“Laem Chabang Port plays a pivotal role in global trade and regional cargo distribution,” said Kuehne+Nagel Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar Managing Director, David Roussiere.
“As part of our Roadmap 2026, this investment reinforces Thailand’s role as a key logistics hub while driving innovation and sustainability in the global supply chain.”
This station investment, according to Kuehne+Nagel, aligns with the Port Authority of Thailand’s vision to transform all its ports into a smart, sustainable hub by 2030.
Meanwhile, in Turkey, Kuehne+Nagel has partnered with Sanofi to manage its pharma supply chain.
