Kuehne+Nagel and Orange, a global telecommunications provider, have extended their e-commerce partnership for a further three years.
The parties’ continued relationship will specifically relate to their e-commerce operations of communication hardware in France, Poland and the African markets.
The burgeoning partnership has seen Kuehne+Nagel successfully supporting Orange in a rapidly growing mobile telephony and Internet market.
This is particularly evident in the continuous growth, since 2004, of a dedicated logistics fulfilment centre in Paris.
The highly secure 22,119-square-metre facility now employs 150 people, where Kuehne+Nagel oversees storage, order fulfilment, shipping, returns, and after-sales service for Orange’s mobile phones, accessories and internet devices.
In recent years, the global logistics provider has introduced new technologies in its operations to minimise environmental impact, while optimising resources. Examples include innovative packaging solutions that provide customised cartons, complemented by increased volume and fewer empty spaces.
“We continue to place our trust in Kuehne+Nagel for their reliability and agility,” said Orange’s Supply Chain Director for France, Lionel Benezech.
“Thanks to their support we have been able to handle significantly increased volumes and reduce delivery times, two key challenges for our e-commerce business.”
National Contract Logistics Manager at Kuehne+Nagel France, Christophe Vandrome, said there was great pride in continuing the Orange partnership.
“Listening, adaptability, and confidence are the foundation of our collaboration,” said Vandrome.
“Over time we have been able to improve our logistics efficiency, serving the end consumer experience.
“We will continue to innovate and strive for excellence.”
