Krone Trailer has redesigned its Box Liner trailer series, in a move to accommodate an array of diverse customer needs when using the container chassis.
The ‘upgrades’ have specifically been made in the eLTU40-2 Light Traction and eLTU45-2 models.
The Box Liner eLTU40-2 Light Traction model offers a more affordable alternative to chassis with a centre extension.
As a result, this update is ideal for transport companies that seek optimised fifth wheel loads and full flexibility when transporting flush-mounted 20-foot containers.
As an alternative design, the Box Liner eLTU45-2 differs from the eLTU40-2 in that it is equipped with an additional front extension for 45-foot containers with a long tunnel.
The added value with this chassis is that having a B-dimension of 12,000/12,150 mm no special permit is required.
Krone noted that as 45-foot containers with a short tunnel cannot be transported, the ideal Box Liner for those dimensions would be its ELTU70-2.
