Kässbohrer told IAA Transportation attendees that its newly unveiled Next Generation Curtainsider series is the result of its advanced prototype testing capabilities and production technologies.
The series is built using fully automated robotic welding and advanced surface coating technologies. The lightweight chassis ensures maximum durability and resistance to environmental factors, the company said, adding that Kässbohrer designed the new series to exceed the demands of modern transportation and deliver driving performance, safety and efficiency.
During the Next Generation Curtainsider development, Kässbohrer’s produced 12 new patents and three new utility models, Kässbohrer Board Member, Iffet Turken said. The vehicle features 36 patent and 7 utility model in all.
“We are always willing to champion ourselves and our R&D power,” she said. “The curtainsider really is the star of the show.”
The series has undergone rigorous testing, simulating 2.5 million kilometres of challenging road conditions to guarantee stability, load safety, vehicle reliability and longevity. Protected by Kässbohrer’s KTL coating with zinc phosphate technology, the chassis offers corrosion resistance, with 10 years of rust perforation protection.
