Trailer OEM, Kässbohrer has expanded its intermodal product range with the launch of a new K.SWAU C+ Mega Curtainsider Swap Body.
Kässbohrer originally unveiled the Mega Curtainsider at Solutrans 2025, where it said the K.SWAU C+ would feature robustness, high-volume and lightweight efficiency and advanced load security to meet the needs of intermodal operations across Europe.
The new Mega Curtainsider Swap Body is manufactured with premium S700 MC steel, with KTL coating and partial metallization at key contact points, providing extended corrosion protection and long-term durability under intensive loading cycles.
As with all Kässbohrer swap bodies, the new Mega Curtainsider Swap Body can be safely double stacked, ensuring flexibility and efficiency for intermodal operators across Europe.
With an internal height of 2,660 mm, a tare weight of 4,600 kg and a 34 Euro-pallet capacity, the Mega Curtainsider Swap Body can cater for high-volume transportation of goods.
The optimised design ensures operators achieve maximum payload efficiency while benefiting from Kässbohrer’s robust engineering.
The new Swap Body is equipped with Kässbohrer’s patented K-Fix Load Security System, featuring 98 strapping points, each with a 2.5-ton capacity, enabling secure and flexible load fixing for diverse cargo types.
The vehicle is fully compliant with EN 12642 Code XL and features VDI 2700 certified roof
lifting positions, ensuring structural stability and safe loading processes.
The K.SWAU C+ is also C45 transportation code compliant, supporting seamless integration across road and rail.
