German trailer OEM Kässbohrer and Roos Spedition GmbH have strengthened their partnership with the delivery of a batch of 15 of Europe’s lightest chemical tankers.
Roos Spedition GmbH, a logistics company specialising in ADR (dangerous goods) transport across Europe, took delivery of the 15 K.STC 30 model, 30-cubic metre chemical tankers.
Headquartered in Durmersheim, Germany, Roos Spedition GmbH is renowned for its comprehensive approach to chemical transportation, combining a modern fleet with real- time freight tracking and seamless system integration.
The newly delivered Kässbohrer chemical tankers are the lightest chemical tanker in its class in Europe, with a weight of 6,500 kg, supporting increased payload capacity and reduced fuel consumption during ADR-compliant transport.
Roos Spedition GmbH CEO and owner, Vito Bentivegna and Kässbohrer Deputy General Manager, Ahmet Yilmaz were on hand to oversee the delivery of the tankers in Trieste, Italy.
“We tested Kässbohrer’s chemical tanker in our operations and were very satisfied with its safety, durability, and weight advantages,” said Bentivegna.
“We know first-hand their performance and were happy to invest in 15 new tankers.
“With this fleet expansion, we will further improve our capabilities in international chemical transport and continue to meet our customers’ expectations with precision and reliability.
We are confident to continue our partnership in the future”.
Kässbohrer Deputy General Manager, Ahmet Yilmaz, emphasized the value of the collaboration.
“We thank Roos Spedition GmbH for their trust in Kässbohrer,” said Yilmaz.
“With Enginuity, Kaessbohrer constantly develops its product and services to take its customers to the next level.
“The Kässbohrer chemical tanker series, serving bitumen, fuel oil and dangerous chemicals are precisely engineered for safety and efficiency.
“Our 30 cubic metre chemical tanker is the lightest tanker in Europe with 6.500 kg tare weight presenting operational efficiency and savings.”
Manufactured to highest quality with robotic welding and internationally certified competent welders, the Kässbohrer tank body is manufactured with AISI 316Ti stainless steel, protected with ISO 15730:2000 compliant electropolishing, ensuring corrosion resistance and aluminium cladding for durability.
Ross Spedition chose stainless steel heating channels located beneath the tank and 100 mm glass wool insulation for the safe transport of goods.
These were selected from Kässbohrer’s wide range of insulations, including up to 150 mm wool, steel, aluminum or GRP cladding.
“We are very pleased to support Roos Spedition in their ADR logistics operations and look forward to continuing our collaboration in the future,” said Yilmaz.
Kässbohrer has forged a number of successful industry partnerships.
