HGK Logistics and Intermodal Nederland BV has announced leadership changes as it strengthens its multimodal container operations across the Rhine and Ruhr.
Effective 1 December 2025, Jos Davidse has joined the management team, serving alongside Rainer Görtler, Head of Intermodal at parent company HGK Logistics and Intermodal (HGK LI).
Davidse will hold a dual role within the HGK Group, continuing as Managing Director of HGK Shipping Rotterdam BV while bringing decades of inland waterway expertise to the expanded leadership structure.
He is joined by Marianne Lehmbeck who steps into the extended management team as an authorised signatory.
HGK LI CEO, Markus Krämer, said the appointments support the company’s holistic logistics strategy across inland waterway, rail and road.
“Together with Rainer Görtler, Jos will position HGK Logistics and Intermodal Nederland BV for the future and ensure its viability in meeting upcoming challenges,” said Krämer.
Based in Dordrecht, HGK Logistics and Intermodal Nederland BV has managed container flows between the ARA hubs of Rotterdam and Antwerp and HGK’s Rhine-Ruhr terminals since 1988, offering integrated waterway, rail and road connections.
Its services include import and export handling, support with customs and transit documentation, and real-time shipment data.
Davidse said he looks forward to building on the company’s proven success alongside Görtler and Lehmbeck.
A seamless handover is expected as long-standing Managing Director Patrick Rijgersberg departs on 31 December after 22 years with the business.
Krämer thanked him for his many years of service and dedication and wished him well for the future.
In other news, an investment in Central Africa should see significant upgrades to road and air freight links.
