French logistics provider Heppner has consolidated its position in France’s Côte-d’Or region after acquiring SAB Logistique, a freight forwarding company located near Dijon.
The purchase comes after Heppner opened a new logistics hub in Dijon in late 2024.
SAB Logistique was founded in 1998 and is primarily active in Côte-d’Or, but also in Doubs, Jura, and Loiret.
Operating a portfolio of more than 60 clients in the retail, plastics, metallurgy, and agri-food sectors, it generated revenue of €960,000 in 2024.
As part of the acquisition, SAB Logistique founder, Karine Georgie will report to the director of the Heppner Dijon site as Chartering Manager.
“We are delighted to welcome Karine Georgie to our team,” said Heppner Dijon agency director, David Venitucci.
“Her expertise in national freight forwarding is a real asset to accelerate our roadmap in this area.
“The acquisition of SAB Logistique also strengthens our position in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, which is one of our agency’s strategic priorities.”
Heppner is a mid-sized transport and logistics specialist and an independent leader in international transportation.
Its overland transport networks connect more than 40 European countries.
With the relocation of its Dijon branch in 2024, the Heppner Group is seeking to expand its transport activities in France and Europe and also strengthen its CSR commitments.
The Group is also relying on a strategic geographical location to offer its customers ever more efficient and innovative solutions to meet their needs.
With a surface area of 1,650 m², Heppner’s Dijon branch handles 300 positions delivered every day in the Côte d’Or department, as well as serving the Jura and Saône-et-Loire regions.
