Axle and suspension specialist, Hendrickson, has introduced the new ‘Toughlift’ range of lift axles designed specifically for non-steerable and steer applications in the heavy-duty segment.
According to Hendrickson, the round-tube axle design has a 25,000lbs (ca. 11,360kg) capacity and will replace the popular heavy-duty HLM and HLR models. The non-steer models are now dubbed FM and FRA, respectively.
A whole new Toughlift model is the Toughlift LK, which is the first steer model to be added to the new platform. The LK was developed around an integrated leading kingpin and knuckle design for the dual tire steerable market.
“The LK is an ideal lift axle for fleets in need of additional flexibility for heavy-duty vocational markets. This product is a fully integrated system designed by Hendrickson, driven by weight reduction while maintaining our reputation for durability, strength and innovation,” Hendrickson said in a statement.
