Gebrüder Weiss has expanded its Uzbekistan operations by upgrading its representative office in Tashkent into a national organisation.

With the expansion, effective from 1 January 2026, Gebrüder Weiss said it is responding to the growing demand for efficient logistics solutions in Uzbekistan.

The company found that international and local customers increasingly require reliable transport and supply chain services in the country, particularly in the agricultural machinery sector.

One of Gebrüder Weiss’s major interests in the region is the transport of oversized agricultural and construction machinery to Central Asia for the agricultural sector.

“We continue to invest in Uzbekistan because we believe in the future of this market and want to support our customers in their expansion into Central Asia with reliable logistics processes,” Gebrüder Weiss Regional Manager Black Sea/CIS, Thomas Moser, said.

Uzbekistan’s economic upswing is continuing, with GDP growing in 2025 by around seven percent compared to the previous year, while growth of approximately six percent is forecast for both 2026 and 2027.

The country is also seeing a rise in industry, agriculture, and foreign trade. Reforms and tax incentives are making the country increasingly attractive to foreign investors and are driving demand for high-performance logistics and transport solutions.

The international logistics provider said Uzbekistan plays an increasingly important role in the flow of goods between Europe and Asia.

Together with Gebrüder Weiss locations in Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and China, the Central Asia country is strengthening Eurasian land routes, it said.

As a result, the company has been systematically expanding these connections for many years in order to offer businesses reliable alternatives to air and sea freight – particularly for large-volume industrial and agricultural goods.

The new Gebrüder Weiss national organisation will be headed by Kamil Ernazarov, who has held a management position in Tashkent since 2019.

“Many companies in Uzbekistan are facing the challenge of making their supply chains more reliable and internationally competitive. With our expanded range of services, we can support them in a targeted manner,” Ernazarov said of the current status in the country.

Gebrüder Weiss currently offers land transport services (groupage and full truckloads) as well as air, sea, and rail freight.

It said that, in the medium term, the service portfolio will be expanded to include warehouse logistics services.
