East German trailer brand Fliegl has announced it will present a whole range of new equipment at the upcoming IAA trade show in Germany.
According to Fliegl, the next generation the successful ‘Vario Chassis’ skel will take centre stage at the world’s largest truck show.
While the name, Vario Chassis V2+, may indicate a simple facelift, the unit is in fact said to be a new development capable of carrying both 40ft high cube containers and 45ft containers.
Also celebrating its premiere in Germany will be the ‘Asphaltprofi Thermo’ model, an insulated tipper specially designed for Germany’s road construction industry.
“From 2015 onwards, the use of temperature controlled vehicles for federal road and highway construction becomes mandatory in Germany,” said Fliegl, revealing that the Asphaltprofi’s insulation performance is approximately “150 per cent above the legal requirement”.
Fliegl’s range of curtain-siders will also see an upgrade in time for IAA – for example with the addition of a Quick Lock System.
Specialised equipment like a steered dolly and ‘pushing floor trailer’ will also be on show.
