German airspring expert Vibracoustic has announced a new sleeve type airspring for commercial vehicles, paving the way for the company's new aircruise bionics airspring range.
The new product was developed for applications in the chassis – especially when space is tight. According to Vibracoustic, it is much smaller than comparable solutions but can still boast a high spring rate.
As a result, manufacturers save on lightweight body components as the spring itself will ensure a notable weight reduction. Vibracoustic announced a weight advantage of up to several hundred kilograms, stating that the product will meet the most stringent demands made in terms of driving comfort and durability.
