Faymonville Group has acquired a majority stake in Italian electric heavy-load vehicle manufacturer, Morello.
The agreement, announced on 10 February 2026, will see the Luxembourg-based special vehicle specialist expand its portfolio of battery-driven transport systems for intralogistics and industrial applications.
Morello, headquartered in Turin, Italy, is globally recognised for its electric heavy-load vehicles designed to move industrial equipment and semi-finished goods within plant environments, with payload capacities starting from five tonnes.
The acquisition adds a complementary range of lighter-capacity self-propelled vehicles to Faymonville’s existing offering, which includes the Eco500 and Eco1000 series from Cometto.
With the addition of Morello, the Group now covers a broader spectrum of self-propelled solutions, including units optionally equipped with automated guided vehicle (AGV) systems for use in industrial plants and production facilities.
Morello’s customer base spans rail, steel, energy, nuclear and defence sectors, among others, where emission-free and low-noise transport solutions are increasingly in demand. The integration of battery-driven technology aligns with Faymonville’s strategy to respond to tightening environmental requirements and the growing shift towards electrification in heavy industrial operations.
“We are proud and grateful that our technology will become part of the strong offer of the family-owned Faymonville Group,” said Amedeo Morello, representing the Morello family.
“With 80 years of market experience, the Morello name will be maintained and is looking forward to a promising future.”

Faymonville confirmed that the Morello brand will continue to operate under its existing name, while benefiting from the Group’s production expertise and international footprint.
“This strategic acquisition significantly enhances our market position and reinforces our role as a comprehensive provider for specialised transport solutions,” said Faymonville Group CEO, Alexander Fickers.
“The discussions with the Morello team were characterised by trust and shared visions. We are excited to welcome Morello as the newest member of our Faymily.”
The move further consolidates Faymonville’s standing as a full-range supplier of special and heavy haulage vehicles, extending its reach deeper into electrified intralogistics and plant-based transport applications.
