Finnish trailer OEM, Ekeri, has officially been assigned a NATO Commercial and Government Entity code (NCAGE), confirming the company’s status as an approved supplier to NATO and its member states.
An NCAGE code is a unique international, five-character alphanumeric identifier code used to identify companies and organisations that supply products or services to NATO, or to national authorities within NATO member countries.
The code is used within NATO’s logistics and administrative systems and is a prerequisite for participating in procurement and cooperation within defence-related activities.
Ekeri Sales Manager for Europe, Anders Björklund, said being registered in NATO’s supplier database is an important milestone, as it shows Ekeri’s transport solutions are of a required standard for use in sensitive and critical environments – from military logistics to international preparedness operations.
“Receiving the NCAGE code is proof that our Ekeri ADR EX III units meet the toughest requirements for the safe transport of explosives, ammunition and sensitive goods,” said Björklund.
“The code also confirms that we are a reliable partner in both civil and military applications.”
Ekeri’s specialist expertise in box body structures and safety-equipped vehicles demonstrated its products qualify for NATO, such as the ADR EX III units.
These units are specially developed by Ekeri for transporting dangerous goods, such as explosives, ammunition and other military materials.
They also meet strict European ADR EX III classification requirements and are available in several configurations, including full trailers, semi-trailers, box bodies, city trailers and centre axle trailers.
In addition, Ekeri’s ADR EX III units feature a fireproof construction and can be equipped with secure locking and alarm systems.
“We take pride in offering reliable and secure transport solutions – even for the most sensitive cargo,” said Björklund.
“It’s a key part of our role as an approved NATO supplier.”
Ekeri’s NCAGE code is AA71G.
