The north-eastern Spanish city of Zaragoza is renowned for its pilgrimage site – the baroque Nuestra Señora del Pilar Basilica.
It is not surprising then, that trailer builder Lecitrailer S.A., based in the same city, has devoted itself to its calling of commercial vehicle manufacturing, resulting in it growing from a small outfit to a leading international OEM.
Since 1990, when it started manufacturing semi-trailers, Lecitrailer has applied an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of quality and excellence in its product range, gaining a loyal following of customers.
It is now the trailer market leader in Spain with a market share of almost 25 per cent in the first half of 2025, gaining its reputation as a benchmark brand in the main product categories of curtainsiders, tilt bodies, dry freight vans, reefer semi-trailers, container carriers, trailers, low beds, platforms and steel tippers. It also crafts gas carrier vehicles, moving floor trailers for the recycling industry and custom-made vehicles.
In addition, Lecitrailer sells second-hand vehicles and has a large stock of original spare parts for all brands.
These services are complemented by its own after-sales service bases.

Through its dogged devotion to producing high quality trailer products, the Lecitrailer Group has grown exponentially to where it employs more than 1,000 team members and occupies more than 500,000 m² total floor space for its seven facilities.
With an annual production of more than 9,000 units, Lecitrailer exports more than 50 per cent of its trailer products, leading to it attaining a market share of 10.5 per cent in France in the first half of 2025 and15.95 per cent in Portugal in 2024.
It has also consolidated its position as a benchmark manufacturer in other markets, such as Italy, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Finland and more.
Two of Lecitrailer’s strong and differential points for its signature trailers are its flexibility for manufacturing any trailer configuration, as well as and the trailers’ resistance.
Production flexibility allows Lecitrailer to adapt its vehicles to the characteristics and regulations of every country in which it markets its vehicles.
Moreover, all Lecitrailer semi-trailer chassis have been subjected to the cataphoresis process (KTL), which ensures a uniform coating over the entire surface which allows it to offer a 10-year guarantee against corrosion perforation.
After sales
Another of Lecitrailer’s competitive advantages is its after-sales service bases that facilitate the repair of every brand and type of semi-trailer.
As a result, Lecitrailer is the only manufacturer in Europe that dedicates 30 per cent of its workforce to the repair, maintenance and sale of spare parts, devoting its efforts through seven of its own facilities in Zaragoza, Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Seville, Lyon (France) and the recently inaugurated facility in Mangualde (Portugal).
All of these sites are completely customer- oriented, open 16 hours a day and all Lecitrailer service centres are equipped with the most advanced technology on the market.
The facilities include chassis straightening rack, shot blasting booth, paint booth, brake tester, laser tyre alignment system and repair pits as standard for each centre.
R & D
The internal reinvestment of the company’s profits makes it possible to invest heavily in research, development and innovation (R&D&I), enabling it to remain at the forefront of semi-trailer manufacturing.
In 2024, Lecitrailer invested €8.8 million for a new welding robot line and a new fibre laser cutting station, with its investments continuing as seen by a new robotic systems and robotic welding installed at its Zaragoza factory production line.
This investment represents a qualitative leap forward in its production processes, providing greater precision, speed and flexibility.
This production process is a unique system consisting of three independent columns that share the same longitudinal rail.
This allows the three robotic columns to move and adapt to the different phases of the work. This flexibility allows the three robotic columns to move and adapt to the different phases of the work.
With respect to trailer panel production, Lecitrailer has increased the vacuum tables to increase production capacity and incorporated a 3D cutting machine.
