CubeCold Europe has announced the acquisition of Herve Transport & Coldstore, a key player in specialised cold storage and transport.
Established in 1963, Herve Transport & Coldstore offers flexible storage, cross-docking and distribution services for a wide range of products such as fruit, vegetables and meat.
The acquisition is a logical step in CubeCold’s growth strategy and goal of being a leader in temperature-controlled logistics. Herve Transport & Coldstore has several cold stores in Belgium, allowing CubeCold’s offering to be further expanded with services ranging from specialised cold storage, order picking, value-added logistics solutions and conditioned transport.
“We are delighted to add Herve Transport & Coldstore, to our network,” said CEO CubeCold Europe, Gerben Paauwe. “With their good reputation and expertise in cold storage, they strengthen our position in strategically important markets of the Benelux and northern France. The acquisition enables us to offer our customers an even better service.”
The strategic locations of Herve Transport & Coldstore, close to key logistics hubs in the Benelux and northern France, increases CubeCold’s operational efficiency and optimises transport flows within the existing CubeCold network.
One of its key strengths is their 24/7 delivery service, which guarantees fast and efficient deliveries. Moreover, they use an innovative information system that enables accurate tracking of the location of goods. Integrating these technologies into CubeCold’s systems will further improve efficiency and reliability of logistics services, the company said.
