CGS Group CEO, Peter Färber, has retired from the company after over eight years at its helm.
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia-based, Färber has begun his retirement after 48 years in the professional world.
Coldstores Group of Saudi Arabia (CGS) Group CEO for eight years and four months, Färber was responsible for the company’s full strategic and operative responsibilities in the Saudi Arabia market, based in the field of chilled transportation and warehousing.
Ruban Bilen has been appointed as company CEO, effective from May 2026.
“During my time as CEO, we navigated change, strengthened our foundations, and kept moving forward with resilience and ambition culminating in CGS’s successful listing on the Main Market of the Saudi Exchange,” Färber said on LinkedIn.
“My sincere thanks to our employees for their commitment, and to our Board, shareholders, customers, and partners for their trust and support.
“Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to work with exceptional people across cultures and continents, many of whom have had a lasting impact on my personal and professional journey.
“As I step into retirement, I do so with gratitude and optimism for what lies ahead.”
CGS warmly thanked Färber for his dedicated leadership. “His impact on CGS from key milestones to our successful listing has been truly significant,” the company said on LinkedIn.
CGS also welcomed Ruban Bilen as Group CEO who was the company’s CFO.
“Having played a key role in our IPO as CFO, he brings strong leadership for the road ahead,” CGS said.
CGS has been operating in cold chain, transport refrigeration and customized solutions across the Middle East since 1976, headquartered in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh.
