The CMA CGM Group has announced executive leadership changes aimed at supporting its next phase of growth and accelerating technology-driven transformation across the business.
Effective 1 July 2026, Patrick Moebel has been appointed CEO of CEVA Logistics, succeeding Mathieu Friedberg, who moves into the newly expanded role of Executive Vice President, Transformation, at the CMA CGM Group.
Moebel brings more than three decades of experience across transportation, logistics and global supply chains, most recently serving as President of FedEx Logistics.
He joins CEVA Logistics as the company enters a new stage of expansion following the successful integration of Bolloré Logistics and its emergence as one of the world’s leading logistics providers.
In his new role, Moebel will focus on strengthening CEVA’s presence in North America, expanding its end-to-end logistics capabilities and driving sustainable growth. He will also work closely with the existing leadership team to further integrate the CMA CGM Group’s logistics, shipping and air freight operations.
Friedberg, who has led CEVA Logistics for the past six years, oversaw a period of significant growth, including the integration of several strategic acquisitions and the company’s rise to become the world’s fourth-largest logistics provider.
In his new position, he will lead the CMA CGM Group’s transformation initiatives, with responsibility for artificial intelligence, information technology, cybersecurity, ZEBOX and CMA Conseil.
