Industrial gas specialist, Air Liquide Australia, has invested in hydrogen tube trailers from Marshall Lethlean.
These trailers forms part of Air Liquide’s fleet renewal program which aims to enhance safety and increase payload efficiency.
The project combines CIMC’s international manufacturing expertise with Marshall Lethlean’s local engineering knowledge and Dangerous Goods (DG) compliance capabilities.
“Air Liquide has a long-standing relationship with CIMC,” said Air Liquide Senior Engineer – Pacific, Stephen Crawford.
“By leveraging global expertise and economies of scale, we can work together efficiently.”
Designed for the transport of hydrogen between production sites, processing facilities and customers, the new trailers feature upgraded running gear, enhanced gas component systems and higher pressure ratings, enabling greater quantities of hydrogen to be transported within the same trailer footprint.
Air Liquide engineers worked closely with Marshall Lethlean throughout the project, undertaking site visits and remote design reviews to ensure the trailers met both the company’s global hydrogen handling standards and Australia’s stringent DG regulations.
As hydrogen distribution networks continue to expand worldwide, higher-pressure tube technology, advanced materials and improved payload efficiency are becoming increasingly important. Crawford said these developments will play a vital role in supporting the industry’s growth.

“Air Liquide’s international and local expertise makes it well placed to meet the market’s needs.”
