UK-based wholesaler, AAH Pharmaceuticals, is refreshing its fleet with a new generation of bespoke trailers from Gray & Adams.
Serving more than 27,000 customers through 11 depots, AAH Pharmaceuticals delivers over 50 million packs of medication each week using a fleet of vans, heavy vehicles and trailers servicing hospitals, pharmacies, prisons and Ministry of Defence contracts.
The new trailer program has been developed around health and safety, operational efficiency and temperature control. Working with AAH’s fleet team, Gray & Adams designed a specification featuring triple-temperature capability, underslung tail lifts, super single wheels, sliding Mavis rails, LED working lights and ultra-quiet floors.
Factory visits formed part of the design process, allowing AAH to review trailers during construction and refine specifications to suit operational requirements.
“AAH Pharmaceuticals has a demanding operation, and this project shows what can be achieved through collaboration,” said Gray & Adams Sales Manager, Ryan Mazgaj.
“Their focus on safety and efficiency aligns closely with our approach, and this partnership demonstrates the strength of our consultative and bespoke approach to trailer design.”
The first bespoke double-deck trailer is currently undergoing trials, with full deliveries scheduled from 2027.
Barry Key, National Fleet & Transport Manager at AAH Pharmaceuticals, said the collaborative approach had been central to the project.
“The team at Gray & Adams listened to exactly what we wanted and made it happen,” he said.
“From bespoke temperature zones to innovative safety features, the quality and detail of their trailers is outstanding. Seeing the build firsthand gave us confidence in the longevity of the fleet, and we’re excited to continue this partnership for years to come.”
