Scan Global Logistics has expanded its European footprint once again with the establishment of its first office in Ireland.
The new office is expected to enhance SGL’s service offerings in a critical trade region and provide logistics solutions to support both local and international customers.
“Our expansion into Ireland marks another step in the development of our regional network,’ said CEO of EMEA, Lars Syberg. ‘This growth reflects our strategic focus on enhancing our capabilities across key markets, allowing us to provide comprehensive, tailored logistics solutions. By building a strong presence in Ireland and expanding our regional footprint, we are better positioned to support our customers’ needs and drive long-term growth in the region.”
Due to its strategic location, Ireland is well-known as a logistics hub for companies involved in transatlantic trade, providing direct access between both North American and European markets.
“Ireland is a key market for us. Its proximity to major trade lanes and position as a Transatlantic gateway within air and ocean transport makes it ideal for supporting our global growth goals,” said Managing Director of UK and Ireland, Neil Murray.
The office will be headed by Scott Darcy, the newly appointed Ireland Country Director, under the leadership of Neil Murray, Managing Director for the UK & Ireland. Earlier this year, the company expanded into Italy by acquiring Foppiani Shipping & Logistics and establishing a presence in Saudi Arabia.
