Italy’s Transmec Group has finalised its acquisition of TNA Cargo, a logistics leader in the North African market.
This move represents a significant expansion of the Group’s logistics network, extending its coverage from the Italian ports of the Tyrrhenian Sea to Tangiers and Tunis.
With a fleet of more than 650 trailers, TNA Cargo enhances Transmec’s capacity and service offerings, including temperature-controlled transport.
“The integration of TNA Cargo strengthens our logistics network, offering increased capacity and flexibility in international shipments,” said CEO of Transmec Group, Danilo Montecchi. “This acquisition expands our presence in Tunisia and Morocco, opening new opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our services.”
The expansion into North Africa represents a highly valuable strategic step for the Group, positioning it in a rapidly growing market, particularly in the automotive, textile, and biomedical sectors. Meanwhile, the region plays a crucial role as a strategic connection point between Europe and Africa.
