With hundreds of units sent to customers each month, it is difficult to highlight a single GORICA delivery – each being a unique highlight in their own right.
But it is fair to say that the majority of the Dubai-based manufacturer’s current top output is for the waste management industry – transporting both liquid and solid waste bodies.
This is closely followed by the perishable goods industry, especially within pharmaceuticals in need of refrigerated bodies, as well as the construction industry, due to large scale projects in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
GORICA considers all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to make up its local market. This includes United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain. In all but Bahrain, the company has its own workshop where bodies are locally mounted and delivered to clients.
For more than 30 years, its international market has been made up of East Africa, West and Sub-Saharan Africa and Iraq, while more recently it has opened up in Commonwealth of Independent State (CIS) countries such as Azerbaijan, Armenia and Kazakhstan.
Here is a breakdown of the industries serviced by GORICA and their specific needs:
Waste management – solid waste
GORICA’s compactors range from small 6/7 CBM to large 25 CBM and are equipped with different bin lifters, depending on the customers’ requirements. The all-in-one range can handle all types of bins, from 240 LIT up to 4500 LIT. Additionally, they can be equipped with skip lifers to handle skips of 5-8 CBM. Meanwhile, another offering are side loader garbage compactors and rear loader garbage compactors.
Other attributes include:
• Hook loaders from 5 to 30 tonnes.
• Hook loaders with cranes for bulky waste.
•Skip loaders that can have single or double skip handling options with rigid or extendable arms.
• Tipping bodies with cranes for bulky waste.
• Bin washers as either side lifters or rear lifters.
•Street washers with full operations from the cabin of the truck.
•Tunnel washers with full operations from the cabin of the truck.
Waste management – liquid waste
For this sector, the bodies are fully bespoke depending on the application and area of operation. They can include vacuum/sewage tankers, jetting tankers, combination and super combination tankers and super suckers.
Perishable goods logistics
This is made up of single, double and multi-temperature refrigerated bodies as well as stainless steel tankers for the transportation of food grade products such as potable water, milk and edible oils. Aluminium bulkers are used for flour transportation.
Construction and mining
For the body, GORICA uses quality carbon steel or special resistance steel.
Tipping bodies for general aggregate can be square type or half round type, with a line up from 2 CBM to 10 CBM with under mount hydraulics and 12 CBM up to 25 CBM with front end mounted hydraulics
Rock tipping bodies for full quarry, mining application are 14 CBM up to 25 CBM with front end mounted hydraulics. Its cargo bodies and block carrying bodies can be combined with Palfinger cranes.
Petroleum logistics
Tankers are the key vehicle for this category which include both steel and aluminium fuel tankers, base oil tankers, acid tankers and lube oil tankers. All tankers can be either top or bottom loading, following ADR and international standards, with compartments for multi-product use. They can be equipped with optional pumps, flow meters, hose reels and other equipment depending on the application.
Cement mixer transit
Models for this application range from 8 to 12 and 14 cubic metres for special requirements.
All GORICA mixers are equipped with wear-resistant, high manganese mixer drums for a long life and smooth operation.
Services
The majority of GORICA’s bodies can be equipped with its Smart Solutions systems for weighing and tracking. Both the hardware and software are provided, and data is integrated into a single platform.
Most bodies are tailor made to the clients’ requirements, keeping in mind application, geographic area and the budget of the project. Application of its bodies, in terms of truck specifications, are flexible and can range from light duty, nine tonne GVW up to 50+ tonne GVW on 8×4 or larger rigid chassis.
New Products
Over the past year, GORICA has developed and launched several new bodies catering to specific demands and applications. These include:
•A street washer featuring both high and low pressure, with a hydraulically operated washing nozzle system, suitable for both medium and heavy duty chassis.
•A tunnel cleaner with a hydraulically operated roller arm, suitable for tunnel cleaning, under pass cleaning and large signage cleaning.
•Multi compartment refrigerated bodies catering to grocery deliveries combining ambient, chiller and freezer temperatures in single body.
• Ice cream delivery bodies with the required temperature of -30°C
