Passion, experience and innovation: Wielton Group

Represented by Wielton, Langendorf and Aberg, the Wielton Group will, once again, present its latest solutions and its flagship products at IAA Transportation 2024 in Hanover, Germany. Ranked among the world’s top 10 semi-trailer and trailer manufacturers, the Group will be showcasing its diverse range of vehicles.

Whether it is a tipper trailer, curtainsider, low loader or inloader, these are just a few of the extensive portfolio of vehicles and transport solutions the Wielton Group will showcase at this year’s IAA event.

“Looking back to 2014, when Wielton was present at the IAA for the first time, a lot has changed,” said the CEO of the Wielton Group, Paweł Szataniak.  “In these ten years we have become an international group consisting of the brands Wielton, Fruehauf, Lawrence David, Langendorf, Viberti, Guillén and Aberg, available in all European markets.”

Activities today, Szataniak explained, are strongly focused on customisation of products, and are further developing the Wielton Group based on its new Strategy 2023-2027.

Wielton

With its broad portfolio and multitude of configuration options, the Polish manufacturer can meet even the most demanding requirements. In fact, some transport companies apply directly to have a dedicated vehicle or solution made for them. As a result of regular analyses of needs, trends, as well as transport and logistics challenges, Wielton’s product portfolio continues to develop.

The focus on close cooperation with customers works hand-in-hand with Wielton’s focus on sustainability, investment in new technology and optimisation measures within a challenging industry.

“In a changing world, there is no room for stagnation,” said Member of the Management Board for Commercial Affairs at Wielton SA, Andrzej Mowczan. “The IAA is a perfect illustration of just how dynamic the transport sector is, while also being a unique opportunity to present one’s capabilities, state-of-the-art solutions and to exchange experiences with a wide audience.”

Curtain Master MEGA

One of the Wielton products on show at stand E01 in Hall 27 will be the Curtain Master MEGA curtainsider semi-trailer, equipped with a roll on-roll off package. This semi-trailer is dedicated to ferry transport, thanks to its raised bumper beam and additional elements aimed at protecting it from damage. This protection during ferrying is guaranteed by equipping it with ten ferry holders, where eight are standard in trailers of this type.

The provision of an additional skid plate on the seat plate protects and reinforces the vehicle chassis and enables the semi-trailer to be loaded onto rail wagons using the Modalohr system.

Recycle Master M3 Slider

This hook trailer model is dedicated to the transport of roller containers which are used to transport various types of waste.

The Recycle Master M3 Slider has a curved frame made of high-quality, lightweight S700 steel and its main beams can be as high as 400 mm, which further ensure the durability and rigidity of the frame.

The trailer is also equipped with a reinforced beam, ram and heavy duty axles and has the lowest container height from the ground on the market, guaranteeing driving stability and greater safety.

In addition, equipping the Recycle Master M3 Slider with an extendable trolley on the frame makes it easy to load the container, even with damaged rollers. Depending on the configuration, the vehicle can weigh as little as 3,150 kilograms.

Scrap Master tipper

At this year’s IAA, visitors will also be able to see a Wielton-branded tipper. The new version of the Scrap Master tipper, which will also be presented at the company’s indoor booth, is dedicated to scrap metal transportation.

Made of HARDOX 500 TUF steel, the cargo box walls, floor and top flange are characterised by high strength and durability. The shape and type of top flange ensures excellent rigidity of the cargo box, confirmed by FEA calculations. The use of wear-resistant materials in the construction means that the vehicle can withstand loads with irregular, sharp edges. The large volume of the cargo box, up to 62 cubed metres and a 12.07 metre- long floor is perfect for transporting metals of various dimensions and shapes.

LANGENDORF

Booth CO2 will also present the latest solutions from the Langendorf brand, which are successfully used in construction logistics.

“Langendorf stands for the highest quality standards, flexibility, innovative solutions and over 130 years of experience,” said CSO at Langendorf, Marco Kranenbroek. “We are constantly working to implement new solutions and improvements that contribute to optimising transport and reducing the carbon footprint.”

The existing series, which Langendorf offers under the name Flexliner, are now being expanded to include a vehicle that meets the requirements of a large volume and loading space for delivery to supermarkets with the agility and maneuverability of a vehicle in city traffic.

At IAA, Langendorf will showcase, for the first time, a steered two-axle, double-deck vehicle in a refrigerated version, which is particularly suitable for the delivery of fresh products. It is easy to handle compared to long trailer combinations, and arguably a better investment than many of today’s current solutions.

SATÜ30 Smart

Also on display at IAA, this light three-axle, low-loader semi-trailer from Langendorf has a load length of nine metres, including the access ramp, and is suitable for both two-axle and three-axle truck-tractors. The modular design allows for a wide range of options so that Langendorf low-loader trailers can be individually configured according to customer needs and requirements.

SKS-HS ISOXX

An insulated tipper from Langendorf, this versatile vehicle is ideal for transporting light bulk goods, heavy demolition materials or asphalt. The vehicle has 6,300 kilograms of empty weight and up to 29.5 metres-cubed of cargo volume. The insulated half-shell body is made of heavy-duty Hardox HB 450 steel and it can be optionally equipped with numerous equipment options, from an electrically sliding roof to versions with standard or customized cargo boxes.

ABERG

In addition to vehicles, the Wielton Group’s stall at IAA Transportation will present Aberg Service solutions for Wielton Group vehicles.

Aberg Service runs the entire service operations for Wielton Group vehicles. It includes technical support, spare parts, service network, competence development, warranty, breakdown assistance, service contracts and retail operations.

“What we often call aftermarket is actually customers’ primary market, so our presence at IAA is more than necessary,” said Managing Director, Aberg Service, Sergiusz Mitek. “Customers of Wielton Group will have the opportunity to meet our team and get newest updates on our portfolio, both products and services.”

Aberg Connect develops telematics solutions and tire pressure monitoring systems for Wielton Group products. These solutions make it possible to track the location of vehicles, their speed and many other parameters, including axle load and other signals indicating the condition of the vehicle.

Not only does it make operating and maintaining vehicle conditions easier, but it also increases the safety of both drivers and cargo. The Aberg Connect portal streamlines the management of the entire fleet by providing up-to-date information about the vehicles. This enables quick response in case of any defects, which has a real impact on reducing the downtime of vehicles.
