Constellation Cold Logistics opens new cold storage facility

Constellation Cold Logistics has opened a new 13,000-pallet frozen storage facility in Tønsberg, Norway.

Tønsberg is Constellation’s third facility in Norway, set strategically close to routes with direct access to Oslo as well as the west coast of the Oslo fjord. Along with pallet spaces, the warehouse offers blast freezing, plate freezing and microwave tempering.

“Progress at the new Tønsberg site has been great,” said Constellation Project and Property Manager, Kenneth Daugård Terkelsen. “Our customers in Norway have expressed their excitement to make use of the space, which will quickly fill up. We have hired two managers with experience in the frozen food industry and ten warehouse workers to run the site.”

Constellation is a leading European independent cold storage and logistics provider, with approximately 700,000 pallet positions of temperature-controlled capacity across seven European countries.

“The Tønsberg project has been a great success, highlighting our ambition to deliver high-quality cold chain infrastructure throughout Europe and grow with our customers,” said Constellation Nordics Managing Director, Espen Karlsen. “The facility looks fantastic, and we are proud to present it to colleagues and our customers.”
