Lineage expands in Germany

Lineage has announced the development of new facility in the port city of Bremerhaven, Germany.

The temperature-controlled logistics company said the infrastructure is expected to be more than 19,000 square metres and will support the demands of its customers in the frozen food sector. It will include more than 40,000 European pallet positions.

“We are delighted to announce the ongoing development of our latest facility in Bremerhaven, which underscores Lineage’s commitment to bolstering our customers’ global supply chains,” said President of Lineage Europe, Harld Peters.

Situated strategically within the heart of the food industry and on the North Sea, the facility will have direct access to the quay, to facilitate easy movement of food products to and from the site, and will form part of the company’s 450 facilities worldwide.

“The build of our facility is aimed at allowing us to effectively address the needs of our customers, extending not only to retailers but also to food producers and suppliers who seek proximity to their end customers,” recently appointed Managing Director Germany, Frank Wehlau said.
