Röhlig Logistics opens new Spanish office


Röhlig Logistics, has strengthened its local presence in Spain with a new office opening in Madrid.

“With Madrid-Barajas airport, Spain’s largest air cargo hub and a dry port linking the city to Spain’s main seaports, Madrid boasts excellent infrastructure and is the Spanish region with the fastest import and export growth,” said the General Manager at Röhlig Spain, Albert Mora. “In addition, Madrid has successfully diversified its industry mix in recent years, attracting many multinational companies from various sectors such as IT, pharma and healthcare, automotive and chemicals.”

The company has appointed María Jesús Fernandez as Branch Manager for the new office. Fernandez has extensive industry experience having most recently headed the Madrid branch of Manuport Logistics.

Röhlig Logistics is now represented in three Spanish cities — Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao.

In other news, Transaid, is putting funds from a recently received award towards safety and sustainability within Ghana’s road transport sector.
