Rhenus acquires Danish transport company

German logistics company, Rhenus, is continuing to expand its network in Denmark with the purchase of the Danish road, sea and air transport specialist, Modul Transport.

The company says this new acquisition complements Rhenus’ existing presence in the region, alongside the acquisition of warehousing specialist DKI, which Rhenus took over at the end of 2022, adding that it enables the international logistics provider to offer its Scandinavian customers logistics solutions across all modes of transport.

“This is another step on our journey to grow into one of the big players in the Nordic market,” says Managing Director at Rhenus Road Nordics, Jakob Heden. “Modul Transport’s experienced staff and their market presence fit perfectly with our development in the Nordics, and we look forward to integrating them into the Rhenus family.”

In other news, Röhlig Logistics has expanded its global network by establishing a new subsidiary in Osaka, Japan.
