Kuehne + Nagel and Capgemini agree to join forces

Kuehne + Nagel has entered a strategic agreement with French information technology (IT) company, Capgemini, to deliver an end-to-end supply chain capability.

The new strategic agreement, reportedly the first of its kind in the market, combines Kuehne + Nagel’s logistics management and execution expertise with Capgemini’s Intelligent Supply Chain Operations (ISCO) capabilities that delivers AI-enabled, cognitive, touchless operations and data-driven decision making.

According to Capgemini, this will enable businesses to remain agile by creating resilient, efficient and sustainable supply chain operations.

Kuehne + Nagel Executive Vice President Contract Logistics – Member of Management Board, Gianfranco Sgro, said Kuehne + Nagel and Capgemini share a common vision of innovation and client orientation.

“Together, we serve our customers with the most comprehensive set of supply chain services available in the market,” he said. “A step that fully embraces Kuehne + Nagel’s strategic Roadmap 2026 and Vision 2030 of becoming the most trusted supply chain partner supporting a sustainable future.”

By leveraging the combined capabilities of Kuehne + Nagel and Capgemini, organisations are expected to benefit from seamless information flow and data exchange, with shorter order cycle times, improved logistics and optimised inventory.

Capgemini Business Services CEO and Member of Group Executive Committee, Oliver Pfeil, said Capgemini is committed to partnering with clients in reimagining their supply chain.

“Supply chain disruptions continue to pose new risks for businesses, so they are increasingly looking for tech-backed, comprehensive solutions that will enable them to navigate these disruptions and stay ahead of the curve,” he said. “At Capgemini, we are committed to partnering with clients in reimagining their supply chain management. This new joint solution with Kuehne + Nagel will help us to drive increased business value and build future-ready supply chain networks for our clients.”

In other news, the 28th United Nations’ conference on climate change, being held in Dubai this December, has appointed Kuehne + Nagel as its official partner.
