Kuehne + Nagel open climate control space for Chicago healthcare

Kuehne + Nagel

Kuehne + Nagel has completed its warehouse expansion in Chicago, making it one of the company’s largest healthcare facilities globally.

The expansion features almost 2,000 square metres of customised temperature-controlled spaces to support a variety of climate healthcare requirements, with temperatures ranging from 2°C to 25°C.

“This investment allows our customers and future customers to further improve the quality of their temperature-controlled supply chain with end-to-end temperature handling in our facility,” said Senior Vice President, Air Logistics at Kuehne + Nagel, Greg Martin.

“As we continue to expand our healthcare footprint across North America, we are committed to investing in next-level facilities for our healthcare customers who need a company to rely on for quality assurance in the storage process.”

The opening follows Kuehne + Nagel’s move from Elk Grove Village, Illinois to Bensenville, Illinois earlier this year, which doubled available warehouse space and allowed import and export to take place in one facility.

Healthcare is one of six primary growth areas in Kuehne+Nagel’s Road Map 2026, a four-year strategic plan towards the company’s vision for 2030.

In other company news, Kuehne + Nagel has secured a contract from wind turbine supplier, Envision Energy.
