LIT takes over Gübau Group

LIT Guabu

German logistics company, LIT, has further diversified its services, acquiring Gübau Group.

The move, retrospective from 1 January, 2023, is expected to help LIT strengthen its market presence in the automotive and hazardous goods sectors and diversify its expertise.

In addition to the two companies, Gübau Logistics and Gübau Service GmbH, the subsidiary, Vetra Spedition GmbH, will also be transferred.

“The Gübau Group is an absolute expert in the automotive and chemical industries,” said LIT Speditions Managing Director, Simeon Breuer.

“Through the takeover, we see several synergy effects in the automotive sector and a strengthening of dangerous goods expertise in the Rhine/Ruhr metropolitan region.”

Gübau’s brand will remain in place and it will continue as an independent unit within LIT with a fleet of 40 towing units, 35 trailers. Martin Möhrmann remains Managing Director and all 150 employees will continue to be employed.

“We are convinced that in the LIT Group we have found a strong partner for the future of our company and our employees. Our goal is to continue to develop successfully,” said Möhrmann.

“With LIT we have the necessary clout for this.”
