Spain-based trailer builder, Lecitrailer, has expanded its aftersales support network in Mangualde, Portugal, with a 36,000-square-metre site.
The official opening ceremony was held 17 June 2023 with more than 200 Portugese transport professionals in attendance.
This aftersales service base features a chassis straightening rack, shot blasting booth, paint booth, brake tester, laster tyre alignment system and repair pits.
The Mayor of Mangualde, Marco Filipe Pessoa de Almeida, was present at the event and emphasised the important investment made by Lecitrailer in the area, generating jobs and industrial activity.
Lecitrailer General Manager, Carlos Leciñena, echoed the Mayor’s sentiments and said the new facility will bolster support for Portugese customers.
Karlos Martínez, Sales Director of Lecitrailer in Spain and Portugal, highlighted the durability and profitability of the wide range of Lecitrailer semi-trailers for transport companies, also explaining that in the Mangualde assembly line, the curtainsiders can be bodyworked, with the consequent cost savings for customers.
Finally, Antonio Carvalho, Lecitrailer’s Sales Manager in Portugal explained the advantages for carriers of the new aftersales service base, as well as the training and experience of the team of technical staff at the base, where, in addition to repairing trailers and semi-trailers, customers can find both new and second-hand vehicles and the LT Store spare parts shop.
With the start-up of the new after-sales base, there are now seven Lecitrailer aftersales bases with a combined surface area of more than 500,000 square metres, five in Spain in Zaragoza, Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Seville, one in France, specifically in Lyon, and the last one in Mangualde, Portugal.
Earlier this year, Lecitrailer, in collaboration with VALX and Carrier, delivered a reefer fitted with e-axles and an all-electric fridge unit.
