US-based heavy vehicle repair company, Merx Truck & Trailer, has acquired a truck service company in Altoona, Iowa.
Merx Truck & Trailer is combining Majestic Truck Services with its existing operations.

Majestic Truck Services, according to Merx, has been a reputable player in the truck and trailer body and collision repair industry since 1979. It has a highly skilled team of technicians and operates facility that is approximately 4,923 square metres in size.
As part of the transaction, Majestic Truck’s operations will be seamlessly integrated into Merx Truck & Trailer, maintaining a consistent level of excellence while creating new opportunities for its workforce.

Merx Truck & Trailer also has facilities in Melrose Park (Illinois), Channahon (Illinois), Schaumburg (Illinois), Cumming (Iowa) and Dallas (Texas).
Earlier this year, Merx announced the acquisition of North Texas Fleet Services in Garland, Texas.
In other news, US-based liquid and dry bulk carrier, TransWood, has agreed to acquire Sinclair Trucking Company assets.
