American freight transportation company, XPO, has completed the expansion of its Salt Lake City service centre as part of its North American growth strategy.
The expansion adds 58 doors in the growing Utah market, and expands the service centre’s yard, creating a more efficient workspace with capacity for greater traffic and freight.
“At XPO, we’re focused on adding capacity where it’s most effective in driving efficiency, growth and returns for our business,” said Dave Bates, COO of XPO.
“Our investment in the Salt Lake City facility will allow us not only to better serve our existing customers, but will support new business growth in a market that’s a major hub for freight.”
The announcement marks a milestone in XPO’s plan to open 900 net new doors nationally by the first quarter of 2024.
In other news, FedEx has demonstrated continued momentum across the business through its financial year 2023 (FY23) and Q4 results.
