Germany-based logistic services company, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, has purchased PKZ Group, closing a gap in its existing road network in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
With the acquisition of PKZ Group, its long-standing air and freight partner, Hellmann obtains its 10 locations and takes over its services in the area of air and sea freight, rail transport and contract logistics.
From this June, PKZ’s existing business activities and workforce will be transferred to the newly established Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Slovakia. The new national company will be headed by the current Managing Director of PKZ Group, Martin Kiaba.
“We see great potential in both markets, particularly in the automotive and industrial sectors,” said Hellmann Worldwide Regional CEO West Europe, Jens Tarnowski.
“Both will play an important role in particular with regard to the further interconnection of our pan-European and full load network.”
Hellmann Worldwide, a family-owned business, has a network of 489 offices in 173 countries.
