Ship and port company, Anker Schiffahrts-Gesellschaft, has opened a new headquarters in Emden, Germany, demonstrating its commitment to the seaport city in the northwest of the country.

Construction took almost two years and the building, a total of 1,050 square metres on three floors, will now house both commercial and industrial employees.

“Due to the strong growth of the two Anker companies, our old building next door was almost bursting at the seams,” said Anker Schiffahrt Managing Director, Jan Remmers.

“With the move to the new premises just a few metres away, important conditions have now been created once again so that we can continue on this course with our committed employees in the future.”

The opening of the new offices has also signalled the beginning of a new project for the company. A new two-storey social building will begin construction on the foundation of the old office building. Completion of the second building is expected by February 2024.
