One of the world’s leading product testing and certification providers has forged a partnership with Brazil’s Centro Tecnológico Randon (CTR).
The aim is to offer a wider range of homologation and certification services for commercial vehicles.
Germany-based TÜV Rheinland will have access to CTR’s headquarters, built specifically for the development and approval of transport products.
The infrastructure includes 15 kilometres of proving ground with more than 20 types of track, as well as a 2,200-square-metre facility with laboratories, engineering and administration offices. The entire area totals 90 hectares and can be used to test everything from cars and trucks to large scale agricultural equipment.
“The partnership with Centro Tecnológico Randon allows us to complement our services in the mobility sector,” said Stela Kos, Director Latin America Mobility at TÜV Rheinland.
“We are constantly striving to provide our customers with our expertise in automotive engineering and certification, quickly and practically, and with absolute certainty.”
In other news, Randoncorp has reported a successful first quarter with a consolidated net revenue 7.3 per cent up from the same time last year.
