Requirement engineers in electrics at Schmitz Cargobull have been internationally recognised, demonstrating the company’s recent investment in technology.
Silver status, awarded by the International Requirements Engineering Board (IREB), acknowledges professional communication and organisation as well as the high level of qualification among engineering staff.
The German trailer manufacturer has strengthened its technology interests in recent years, including expanding its electric/electronic development. Requirement engineering, the company said, is an integral part of the development process from the initial idea, through to the production ready vehicle.
“Today, Schmitz Cargobull is no longer just a vehicle manufacturer, but a system developer and provider that can offer customers everything from a single source,” the company said in a statement.
The IREB is a non-profit organisation and the developer of the certification model for employees in the fields of requirements engineering, business analysis and software and systems development.
In other news, the first all-electric Schmitz Cargobull S.KOe COOL semi-trailer was recently delivered to a fleet in Romania.
